In an unremarkable corner, in a quiet temple in Phnom Penh I found this bowl of water with flowers floating on top. There is something about these flowers that keep drawing me back to this picture, and I wanted to share it. Maybe it’s the colors, or the lightness in a dark space, or even just the shine of the waters on the petals, but I do need to remember to keep an eye out for the unexpected beauty not only when I travel, but in the places I pass every day. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday and find beauty in unexpected places.

P.S. on Friday my school has a sledding field trip with our kindergarteners, so that is sure to produce some stories (they may not be beautiful, but I’m at the very least pulling for funny).
Sledding? Do tell where, please.
I don’t remember the place’s name, it’s an amusement park up in Yangsan, but I’ll let you know all about it Kristi after I go there on Friday.
The picture’s aesthetically pleasing so I can see why you like it. I found it very pretty as well! Hope you have fun on your sledding trip. Pictures please~!
I really, really like this picture. It makes me go to a little happy place inside
. How odd that they were just sitting there in a bowl of water… they don’t really look arranged or anything. Just dropped in and left in the shade. So pretty-thanks for posting!
Thanks, I like it too! And anything that sends someone to a happy place has to be good! It was just one of those things that I thought was interesting in the moment and then looking back on it I really enjoyed the picture. Thanks again!
